Project Appleseed has scheduled a full-length, 400 yard rifle clinic at Mill Creek Rifle Club for September 23 and 24.
Information provided by the organizers:
Learn how to handle wind and drop at full distance while using the basic skills you learned at a 25 meter Project Appleseed rifle clinic.
This fast paced class is taught with the assumption that you can already hold your rounds in a roughly 4 MOA group prone and have mastered the use of the sling and position shooting as taught at a 25 meter clinic.
To attend shooters should have already attended at least one Project Appleseed 25 meter rifle clinic and scored at least 180 on the Appleseed Qualification Course. People who do not meet these requirements may find they struggle to keep up with the course material. Shooters who struggle to keep their rounds on target may be stopped for safety.
Bring at least 400 rounds, food, liquids and whatever you need for a full day in the elements plus a shooting mat and a zeroed rifle that you can make easy hits at 100 yards with. There is no shade and there will not be time to move shade tents.
Students will learn how to put accurate rounds on target at 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards using nothing but a sling to stabilize the rifle. Subjects covered will be wind holds, bullet trajectory at distance, how to build a steady position and much more.
Project Appleseed clinics are held rain, snow or shine as long as it’s safe to drive. Dress accordingly and bring food, water, snacks and anything else you need for a full day on the range.
Non-Mill Creek members please bring $10 per shooter to pay for range access
