Entering the building
- The only public entrance is on the ground level through the north wing off of 8th Avenue
- You will pass through a security checkpoint as you enter the Visitor’s Center of the Statehouse.
- Concealed Carry with or without a permit is allowed in the Kansas Statehouse, but you will need to notify security at the checkpoint that you are carrying concealed prior to passing through the magnetometer.

Parking
- Underground parking garage entrance is located on 8th Avenue between Harrison and Van Buren, open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday
- Off street parking available on 8th Avenue
- Alternative parking available in the Kansas Judicial Center lot for all types of vehicles, including buses, campers, trailers, and fifth wheels
